From Chapter 7:4-10 on the study of the Book of Hebrews (אֶל־הָעִבְרִים), brother Gideon Levytam instructs us concerning the greatness of Melchizedek’s priesthood. The Melchizedek priesthood, representing the priesthood of Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, is greater than the Levitical priesthood. Although Abram was a great man of God, even he gave tithes to Melchizedek, recognizing who Melchizedek was. Genesis 14:14-20. Therefore, the tribe of Levy, who are of the loins of Abram, also gave tithing to Melchizedek. We read, "And he (Melchizedek) blessed him (Abram), and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth." Genesis 14:19.
